Darla A. Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 83, in Painesville Township, Ohio. Born on October 3, 1941, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Darla led a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Darla was the proud daughter of a close-knit family and was especially known for her giving heart and vibrant spirit. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughter, Kathy (Scott) Vaughn, and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Lauryn Vaughn (Bob) and Zak (Sarah) Vaughn (who are getting married in Sept. 2026), great grandchildren Bobby, Nevaeh and one on the way in June of this year. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Bonnie McDonald, along with many dear nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Darla was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Phillip B. Johnson, with whom she shared a wonderful life filled with joy and adventure.
