Funeral Mass for Virginia T. "Virgie" Veri, 87, of Eastlake, will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake. Family and friends to meet at church.
Virgie passed away peacefully March 1, 2025.
She was born January 6, 1938, in Cleveland.
Virgie was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and worked for Heinen's Grocery in Willoughby. She and her husband, Jim, enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing and were members of West Channel Yacht Club in Eastlake. She found great joy in gardening and kept a beautiful yard. Virgie loved playing cards with family and friends and was a member of the Wickliffe Italian-American Club, where she played bocce. She lived her final years at Jennings Notre Dame, then Vitalia Mentor. Virgie had a great smile and her laugh was loved by many.
She was the loving mother of James (Kathleen) Veri, Tammy (Michael) Piotrowski and Kimberly (James) Teknipp; cherished grandmother of Brandon Veri, Briana (Richard) Rousch, Britta
