Janice D. (née Ticel) Kondik, age 86, of Fairport Harbor, passed away on March 4, 2025, at Tripoint Medical Center after an illness. She was born on August 23, 1938, in Painesville to Peter and Elizabeth (née Chader) Ticel and was a lifelong resident of the area. Janice is survived by her son, Terry Ticel of Lawrence, KS; her daughter, Michelle "Missy" Colonel (Retired), USAF, (Robert) Aastrom of Castroville, TX; her grandchildren, Jessica Aastrom of Wasilla, AK, and Taylor Aastrom of Anchorage, AK; her great-grandchildren, Jaxon Hollis and Rylen Hollis, both of Wasilla, AK; and her brother, Ronald Ticel of Fairport Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Ticel, and her brother, Donald Ticel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Hungarian Reformed Church, located at 601 Plum Street in Fairport.
