William Harrison Hobbs, age 88 of Madison, passed away March 7, 2025 at Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva. He was born March 15,1936 in Blue Diamond, KY, the son of Sherman and Lizetta Hobbs. He married Ethel B. Purcell on December 10, 1953 in Shawneetown, IL.
Bill worked as an Engineer and Inspector at McDonnell / Boeing Company for over 34 years. He was a proud member of the Masons for over 50 years. He managed Schooners Cove, Sandy Point for 13 years and was a faithful member of Here's Hope Baptist Church in Madison.
He is survived by wife, Ethel B. Hobbs; grandson, Michael A. Hobbs; daughter-in-law, Julie Hobbs; son-in-law, Simon McMullen; and great-grandson Ryland William Hobbs. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Hobbs; daughter, Sabrina G. McMullen; granddaughter Jessica L. Hobbs; sisters, Wanda, June, and Lenora; and brother, James.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Here's Hope Baptist Church, 6601 Chapel Road in Madison
