Funeral mass for Philomena Ippolito (nee Lupardi), 93, of Mentor, Ohio, will be Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH.
Philomena (Phyl) formerly of Tarrytown, New York, and Closter, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and family.
Phyl lived a life defined by faith, family, friends and food. With a heart full of love, Philomena was the first to drop off a lasagna, meatballs or zucchini bread before you could even ask for help.
Born on July 21, 1931, in Madison, New Jersey the fourth child of Mary and Anthony Lupardi had a great love of learning that started at an early age.
As Philomena grew, the family moved to Closter, where her father grew roses with an acre greenhouse. Her love of learning continued and was evident when she won first place for her writing on America, a sign of her curious and thoughtful nature. The deep roots she planted in Closter gre
