Loretta R. Donahoo passed away on March 18, 2025 at her home in Mentor. She was born on July 16, 1948 in Cleveland to Fannie (nee: Lewis) and the late David Ruffin, Loretta excelled in her educational pursuits and community engagement throughout her life.
She graduated with commendable determination from East Technical High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Education from Cleveland State, further advancing her expertise with a Master's degree in Education from Case Western Reserve University. Loretta dedicated her professional life to the East Cleveland School System where she inspired countless young minds until her retirement in 1993.
Loretta was an avid reader and found great joy in the quiet corners of the Mentor Public Library. Her hobbies included assembling puzzles, playing games, and expressing her artistic side through collecting dolls and jewelry. A fervent animal lover, Loretta's kindness knew no bounds and extended to all creatures great and small.
